Facility Analysis & Master Planning

Rusk County identified the need to conduct a facilities assessment and space needs analysis in 2021 with the goal to determine immediate, short-term, and long-term facility needs. The County contracted with Wold Architects to conduct this study.​ After months of site visits and meetings, Wold determined the jail was the County's top priority for reconstruction. This conclusion was based on an evaluation of existing structural and mechanical conditions as well as deficiencies in compliance, safety, and space.
