THE SOLUTION

A New Jail 

The proposed facility consists of a two-level housing pod with jail support and services on one level. There will also be a “skywalk” connection to the existing Law Enforcement Center.

The new jail will provide increased inmate classifications, reduced inmate transfer costs, enhanced programming, efficient mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems, and better safety conditions for staff, inmates, and the public. This solution builds a jail that is fiscally responsible and will suit Rusk County's needs for the coming generations of leaders and community members.
